Dan Feigelson has worked extensively as a teacher, staff developer, curriculum writer, principal, and local superintendent. He leads institutes, workshops, and lab sites on the teaching of reading and writing and is the author of Reading Projects Reimagined: Student-Driven Conferences to Deepen Critical Thinking and Practical Punctuation: Lessons in Rule Making and Rule Breaking in Elementary Writing.

In this webinar, Dan will offer basic, user-friendly techniques for conferring successfully and suggest ways to foster reading and writing connections across different types of conferences.

She is the co-author and author of several books, including of I Am Reading: Nurture Meaning‐Making and Joyful Engagement with Texts and Reading for Real: Teach Children to Read With Power, Intention, and Joy in K‐3 Classrooms. Kathy was also a classroom teacher in Brooklyn, New York.
